After reading your book Mack Tactics I decided to finally break up with my (now ex) girlfriend. She’d been totally controlling and manipulating me for the past four years. Anyway, I’m back on the dating scene now and feeling like a true Mack. I met a really hot girl at a work function and asked her out. But I’ll admit I’m rusty with the “first date” stuff, I’ve been off the scene for a long time. Any tips for closing this deal?

In order to pull off the ultimate first date, create deep attraction, and hopefully steer things back to your place, you’re going to have to use the methods and conversation strategies that we explain in the Mack Tactics book. But for starters, here are some fundamental “first date” tips to always remember:

* Keep your spending to a minimum. With first dates, never try to impress her by shelling out the bucks. This puts you in the wrong position. Maintain the attitude that this is her chance to sell herself to YOU, not the other way around. Meet her for coffee (not at a Starbucks — find a cool, out-of-the-way, comfortable coffee shop for dates). Or, meet her for drinks. Skip the places that everyone knows, and find “date locations” that will show her you’re an original type of guy who knows the cool “off the radar” spots.

BONUS TIP: Make her feel extra special by saying to her, “This is one of my favorite places. I think of it as my private sanctuary, I never bring anyone here. But I thought you’d enjoy it so I wanted to show it to you.”

* Have a backup plan. The place you’ve selected could be closed for renovations, her ex-boyfriend might work there, who knows. Have a second location ready to take her to at a moment’s notice. The Alpha Man is a man of action, and always has a complete plan.

* Plan on keeping the date brief. For a first meeting, 1-2 hours is usually perfect. You want an escape hatch in case she doesn’t meet your standards. (Never plan some all-day activity with a girl until you’re certain you want to spend that much time with her.)

Also, unless you’re confident that you can take her home at the end of the night, it’s better to cut things short and create the sense that your time is precious and limited. You should be the one to decide when the date ends. (“Well I’ve got a huge day tomorrow, I need to be up bright and early…we’ll have to do this again soon.”)

Don’t stretch things out so that she’s the one checking her watch and telling you she needs to get home. End the date on a high point, before things start winding down, and plan on sealing the deal the next time you see her. As the greatest entertainers in showbiz know, you’ve always got to “leave ‘em wanting more.”

* Always be punctual. Screw being “fashionably late”: it’s disrespectful and sets a bad tone. Make sure you know the directions to the location, and arrive 10 minutes early so that you’re totally prepared.

* Dress appropriately. It’s always better to be a little overdressed than underdressed. You can  be sure she’s going to dress well for the date. She’ll feel uncomfortable if you roll in wearing a tee-shirt and shorts.

* Let her do most of the talking. Ask questions that prompt her to open up and share with you. Again, maintain the attitude that this is her chance to impress YOU. It’s better to be vague and cultivate a sense of mystery around yourself, than to tell her your life story within the first two hours.

Keep the spotlight on her. The more details she shares with you, and the more you seem to appreciate what she’s saying, the more it feels to her like a connection is building. This elevates you beyond the average guy, who treats every first date as if he’s auditioning for the position of her boyfriend, and feels he needs to “sell himself” by talking himself up.

So, here are some ways to ask a girl out which will help you overcome any nervousness, and get her say “yes” instead of turning you down, or telling you she’s busy…

First, don’t think about this as “asking a girl out on a date.” When you ask a girl out in the traditional, predictable way, and you frame it as a “date,” you are already putting yourself in a weak position. You’re basically communicating to her, “I obviously like you, and I’m hoping you’ll like me, too, so let me spend some money on you in an attempt to show you I’m worthy of dating you.”

You want to frame it differently. Rather than asking her out on a “normal date,” you want to invite her to ACCOMPANY YOU to some cool, interesting spot that you think she would enjoy.

This way, the message you are sending is this: you’re a fun guy who has an active social life and knows about cool places, and this is HER chance to be a part of your interesting world and broaden her horizons.

You also want to phrase it so that it sounds like you are planning to do this activity ANYWAY, so if she can’t join you for whatever reason (hey, maybe she honestly IS busy), it’s not like she is rejecting you. It’s more like, she is missing out on an opportunity to do something cool.

Now, when you call her to offer this “invite,” have your gameplan already worked out. (The WORST way to ask a girl out — and this is how most guys do it — is to say something vague like, “So maybe if you’re free sometime, we could do something…”)

Don’t do that! You’ve got to make it EASY for her to say “yes.” You do this by laying out a gameplan that includes the time and location, and sounds cool and interesting. The more SPECIFIC you are, the less chance there is of her making an excuse to back out. (Women will follow a man who LEADS them. They start hesitating and feeling unsure when they get the sense that you have no idea where this is going.)

Examples of ways to ask a girl out effectively:

“So Cindy, I’m planning to visit this arts festival on Saturday that I hear is going to be amazing. I can tell that you’ve got a creative, artistic side, and this is something you’re definitely going to be into, so you should come along with me on Saturday. I can pick you up at 1 o’clock.”

Or, “I’m super busy for the next few days, but on Friday night I’m going to swing by this amazing Mexican restaurant that I discovered. This place is a hidden gem, I swear they have the most awesome margaritas in town. You should come with me, I can pick you up before I head over there. Say, 8 o’clock.”

As far as where you bring her, there are a million possibilities. It could be a cool coffee shop (not a Starbucks — someplace unique), a bar with a great vibe, an outdoor festival, a show at an art gallery, a free concert in the park, a cool part of town that has funky shops and boutique stores where you want to do some shopping…the bottom line is that it needs to be a place you can get her EXCITED about visiting with you. You need to “sell” it to her. Enthusiasm is contagious!

To increase your chances of her agreeing to the plan, you can present her with a “false choice” (This means a choice she cannot answer with a “yes” or a “no.”) Invite her to do something that can be done on Saturday OR Sunday.

For example, you could say, “This weekend, I need to shop for a birthday gift for my friend Mike. I want to get him a really cool shirt, or a pair of jeans — something trendy. You’ve got a cool sense of style, and I’d love to get your opinion — why don’t you come shopping with me. What’s better for you, Saturday or Sunday?”

(This way, she isn’t thinking in terms of accepting the invite, or turning it down — she’s automatically thinking, “hmmm, am I free on Saturday, or is Sunday better?”

Night-time activities (going out for drinks) is always cool, but daytime dates can also be very effective. If you tend to get nervous on dates, daytime dates — that involve walking around with her — will help you burn off nervous energy. Outdoor shopping malls and street festivals are perfect for this. And by strolling around with her and checking out different things, you’ll have a constant supply of conversational topics.

Notice that NONE of the activities that I suggested including taking her out to dinner, or to a movie. These are typical “dates” that frame you as an ordinary dude who is trying to court her and win her approval. Plus, taking her to dinner requires to spend a substantial amount of money (which should never be necessary on a first date), and taking her a movie isn’t going to help you make any progress. Think about it: how are you supposed to display your personality and build up her attraction to you, when you’re sitting next to her in the dark for two hours and being silent?

When you use these ideas, and then follow it up with the conversational strategies that I explain in my books on How To Get Girls, your dating success rate is going to skyrocket. You’ll never have to stress out about how to to ask a girl out, because it’s all going to feel very natural, to you and her.

I can tell you from my own personal experience, when I used to ask girls out to “dinner and a movie” and I’d spend $50-$75 on the evening, it rarely led to the results I wanted.

But when I started inviting women to come with me and hang out in more original, casual settings — even if it was just meeting for coffee at a cozy, comfortable coffee shop — I found that the conversation would flow much more naturally and we would “bond.”

There isn’t any sense of pressure or expectations when you approach the first date this way. Neither person is really comfortable when you ask a girl out to a fancy restaurant and try to impress her that way.

Dean Cortez here. I’ve got a move for this first date situation that I developed recently, and it’s KILLER.

Before I got my game in order, I’d estimate that on first dates, I would wind up getting laid around 10% of the time. Maybe that’s a generous estimate. Most of my first dates resulted in a kiss on the cheek, or a hug goodnight. And in a lot of cases, even though the first date SEEMED to go pretty well (at least, it seemed that way to me), the girl wasn’t really interested in seeing me again. Things just fizzled out.

Well, as I started to sharpen my game, I figured out a “first date tactic” that really works wonders. I’ll give it to you now…

The first thing you need to understand is, women have a FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN. This is why it’s so important to project that you are a safe, stable, trustworthy guy.

You can accomplish this by “dropping hints” during the conversation in a strategic way. You already know all about this if you read my Mack Tactics book.

Now in this situation…when your goal is to bring her home at the end of a date…and she’s never been to your place before…it is natural for her to feel some reluctance.

This is because your place — your environment — is UNKNOWN to her.

Her female radar “kicks in,” and her mind comes up with reasons NOT to go there, such as…

- Your place might be dirty and unsanitary. (Women feel very uncomfortable in that type of environment.)

- You might have some weirdo roommate who is going to creep her out.

- You might have a girlfriend or wife that you didn’t tell her about — and she might show up and start some drama!

- You might live REALLY far away. When she has to drive home later, she’s going to have a hard time finding her way back to her place.

Those are just a few of the concerns she might have.

Here is my point: you need to ELIMINATE her concerns, suspicions, and fears and make it EASY for her to think, “sure, going to your place sounds fine.”

So how do you make her think this way?

You SHOW her your place, and let her become familiar with it, BEFORE you take her out on the date!

It’s actually SUPER easy to do…

Here is how you play it. When you call her and set up the date, tell her to MEET YOU outside of your place, so that you can ride in your car together and go to the date spot.

(Bar, restaurant, coffee shop, whatever.)

Women ALWAYS agree to this. Because A), they are curious about where you live. They are nosy! They want to check out the exterior of your home/apartment/condo.

(Notice, you didn’t say “come over and hang out at my place.” You said, “meet me OUTSIDE my place so that we can ride to the restaurant together.”

And B), they feel more comfortable riding in your car with you, especially if the date location is a place they are not familiar with.

You know how women are with driving — they’d really rather not do it…

OK, now here is how to use this Mack Tactic:

When her car pulls up to your place, go outside — like you’re ready to go on the date — and then tell her you forgot to do something. You need to go back inside and send an email or make a phone call:

“Hey! How are you…oh my God, I just remembered, I need to send an email (or make a phone call) before we go. It’s for my work. Come inside for a minute.”

She will agree to this. Naturally, she is curious to see the INTERIOR of where you live.

So, bring her inside …

Pour her a glass of wine (or some water, if she doesn’t drink), and then you go into the other room and pretend to handle your phone call or email.

The idea is this: you are letting her GET FAMILIAR with your place. This will no longer be an “unknown environment” to her.

While you spend 5 or 10 minutes in the other room, you are leaving her alone to CHECK OUT your pad.

And trust me, she WILL check it out. She’ll snoop around a little, look at your pictures, maybe check inside your fridge…she’ll look for any evidence of a girlfriend (or wife) you didn’t mention…

And this means you MUST have a clean place. Your bathroom must be absolutely spotless. I’m talking STERILE — surgery could be performed inside your bathroom! That’s how clean it should be.

Why? Because she will probably want to use it. (Scented candles and very plush bath towels will make the right impression on her.)

So, after 5 or 10 minutes, you finish up your “business” and you come back into the living room and rejoin her. Now the two of you get in your car and go on your date.

That all sounded very simple. But what you just did with her is HUGE on a psychological level.

Because, at the end of the date, when you suggest going back to your place — to have a glass of wine, watch a movie, or whatever other technique you use from the Mack Tactics book program — she ALREADY KNOWS your environment.

She already KNOWS that your home is a comfortable place to go back to, and chill out.

It’s clean, comfortable, and she already knows you’re not some perv who is going to try to jump on top of her the moment she comes in the door.

So you take her out for a nice time, you get her back to your place, and that is when the MAGIC happens…

I used that tactic last week with two different babes — a 23 year old school teacher, and a 27 year old “seduction.com">exotic dancer.” So you see, these methods work across the board…

So how much SHOULD you be willing to invest in a first date? How much is too much? Or should you spend as little as possible, until you’ve sealed the deal with her?

One thing is for sure: none of want to shell out our hard-earned cash on women who string us along, give us an awkward hug good night, and then blow off our phone calls!

It’s happened to me in the past … and it SUCKS. Unfortunately, a lot of guys feel there is a financial “price” for playing the game.

They figure, if you’re going to get a girl (or land a quality girlfriend), you’re going to have to wine and dine a bunch of different women.

They also think if you manage to get a date with a seriously hot chick, a “9″ or a “10,” you’d better be ready to spend generously: dinners at nice restaurants, rounds of drinks at expensive nightclubs, concert tickets, gifts, etc.

After all, that’s what these women expect from men, right? If you want to take your shot, you’re going to have to suck it up and lay out some cash.

Right?

WRONG.

The truth is, when you spend substantial amounts of money on a woman you’ve just begun to date, you could be SCREWING UP your chances!

There is a principle of persuasion that use on customers, called the Rule of Reciprocity.(A good salesman, if you think about it, is essentially a pickup artist.)

Basically, this rule states that when you do something for someone, no matter how minor, that person is going to feel obligated to repay you.

In fact, he will feel UNCOMFORTABLE until he pays you back somehow.

It’s human nature. We never want to feel indebted, or that we “owe” someone.

Amway salesmen, who go door-to-door selling household products, are a perfect example.

They’ll knock on a door, tell the person about their products, and then leave a “sample kit” with the person so that they can test out the products for a few days — free of charge!

The salesman then returns a few days later to pick up the kit, and take back whatever products haven’t been used.

If the customer has used any of the products, he or she is going to feel OBLIGATED to make a purchase.

This is the Rule of Reciprocity in action.

Most people would feel a little bit GUILTY about sampling the products in their home and then doing nothing to repay the “favor.” So, this usually means the customer will go ahead and buy at least one of the salesman’s products.

It’s a very effective tactic. The salesman gives away a dollar or two worth of product “for free,” and winds up making a $20 or $40 sale.

This simple technique has helped turn Amway into a multi BILLION dollar company.

Members of the Hare Krishna cult used to hang around airports, with their shaved heads and robes, handing out flowers to people and trying to get donations.

Those little flowers were another example of the Rule of Reciprocity.

When they hand someone a flower, the person is subconsciously going to feel obligated. Usually, the person will hand over a dollar to the Krishna just to overcome that awkward feeling and be on their way (even though they’ll probably toss the flower in the trash a moment later, which the Krishnas then collect and give away again).

So in exchange for giving away something totally worthless, the Krishna pockets $1. Those dollars add up to MILLIONS when they’ve got members in airports around the country, doing it all day,
every day!

And it’s all because they play on the feeling of GUILT you get, when someone gives you something for “free” and puts you in the position of feeling like you “owe” them.

Here’s more of an everyday situation. You run into a long-lost friend of yours. He invites you out for dinner and drinks.

At the end of the night, he insists on picking up the tab: $200. You want to split the check, but he insists on paying.

You appreciate the gesture…but it also makes you feel a little bit guilty and awkward.

Your instincts are telling you, you’ve got to take this guy out in the near future and pay for HIS meal. Again, this the Rule of Reciprocity.

So how does this translate into getting women?

Well, first, you don’t want to use it the WRONG way.

This means you DON’T shell out money on a woman before you’ve slept with her. No expensive dinners. No gifts. This approach will backfire 90% of the time
because:

1. You’re broadcasting your interest in her. Mack Tactics teaches you to turn the tables when you pick up girls, and keep YOUR attraction concealed while you make HER work to attract
YOU.

2. You could be making her feel uncomfortable. While she’s sitting across from you at the dinner table, eating her $40 entree and sipping her $10 glass of wine, she’s thinking, “this guy must expect me to put out at the end of the night, because of the money he’s spending…but there’s NO WAY that I’ll put out now, because then he’ll think I can be bought and paid for.” (Seriously…spending cash on a girl can really backfire!)

Now, on the other hand, the Rule of Reciprocity can be used to your ADVANTAGE in many ways.

Remember: you NEVER want women to take you for granted.

You ALWAYS want them to respect your time and efforts.

And there are ENDLESS ways to make your gestures seem like “favors” that women will feel obligated to repay.

This will never be the outcome if you use the correct Mack Tactics. First, know this: the amount you spend on the date is not going to improve your chances of scoring. Actually, I found in the past that the more money I spent on a first date, the less chance I had of scoring with her that night.

On the other hand, when I meet up with a girl for a couple of drinks, at a casual bar/lounge — and wind up spending less than $20 on the “date” — I can bring her home 90% of the time and close the deal with her.

If it’s a daytime meet, I. The NEXT time I see her, it will be for dinner and wine at my place… and then I know I’m hooking up.

A lot of guys ask me where to take a girl on a date. My first rule for first date fun is that it needs to be an environment where you’ll both be comfortable, and where you’ll be able to manage the conversation, build the connection, and escalate the situation towards intimacy. (Shouting over the music in a crowded nightclub is not the way to do this. Taking her to the movies is also a lame idea, since you can’t converse and work your Tactics.)

Back when I was less experienced, I’d ask a girl out and take her out on the town. I would often spend more than $100 on the night, and usually I wound up frustrated. The more money I spent, the more I expected, and if I didn’t get some play at the end of the night I considered the date a failure.

Yet I kept following this same routine with other women. I used to think that spending money on women was the price I had to pay.”

These days, when I take a girl on a first date, we go for drinks at one of several cool, casual lounges I’ve chosen as my “date spots.” These are comfortable environments where we can settle down on a couch and talk privately, and where the staff knows me, welcomes me, and provides excellent service.

If she’s hungry, we order appetizers. My bill is never more than $30 or $40. But because I’m completely focused on her and building the connection, and guiding the conversation to all the right areas, these dates are nearly always a success.

Also know, when you spend a bunch of money on a first date, it can work against you.

When you take her to a nice restaurant and spend a bunch of cash, you’re really not impressing her. The money you are spending is NOT making her feel any more attraction to you. In fact, you are probably DIMINISHING her attraction.

Why? Because when you spend that kind of money, you’re making it obvious that you are sexually interested in her. It’s clear that you are into her, and by spending money you’re trying to prove that you are worthy of her.

As I explain in detail in the Mack Tactics book, when you telegraph your interest to a woman this way, she loses interest — because she doesn’t view you a challenge. There’s no mystery. No sexual tension. She knows she can have you if she wants you. This makes you common, ordinary, and uninteresting.

Regarding the letter from the guy above, I’m sure his “hot, classy girl” has been wined and dined by a lot of suckers. And this girl did not sleep with those guys, for the reasons I talked about. Why follow that same, unsuccessful routine? Why not take an original approach that works?

The other thing is, as you’re sitting there having an expensive dinner with her, she’s probably thinking, “If he’s spending this much cash, he must EXPECT something from me. He probably thinks I’m going to sleep with him tonight, but there’s NO WAY I’m going to do that, because then he’ll think he can ‘buy’ me…”

At the same time, the guy is sitting there thinking, “I better get more than a kiss on the cheek after all this! She just ordered a friggin’ $25 entree!”

And so, underneath the surface, neither person is all that comfortable with the situation because it’s been burdened with pressures and expectations. Plus, the girl KNOWS the guy is eager to please her, and so she’s tuning out and losing interest. He’s no challenge.

The bigger point here is that when you wine and dine a girl, it’s obvious you’re trying to impress her. You’re telegraphing your interest. As a Mack, you need to make a fundamental shift in your attitude towards dating: when you take a girl out, it’s her chance to impress YOU. Think of it like you’re granting her an audition. If she passes the audition, she earns a spot on your team. Never go into a date hoping that you’ll pass HER test.

Women get excited and aroused by a guy who seems like a CHALLENGE. You are a highly skilled Mack. You’re sending the message that you could be with any number of women tonight, but you’re granting her your time because you’re interested in getting to know her. That’s the Mack attitude.

Another note: no matter what, you are obligated to pick up the check. A lot of women nowadays, due to feminism, will act like they want to split the check. But really, she does not expect to pay her share. Her “polite offer” is really a test. If you allow her to chip in, you look cheap and inexperienced with the ways of dating, and you’re dead in the water.

When you pick up the check, do it with style. Imply that she earned the free drinks, or the meal, because she has successfully passed YOUR test.

“No, put your money away—tonight’s my treat. It’s rare that I meet a girl who I can really enjoy a fun, intelligent conversation with. We’ll have to do this again, there’s another great place I want to show you next time.”

That last statement—“we’ll have to do this again”—carries an implication as well. What you are implying is, if things lead to sex tonight, this won’t just be a one-night stand. You’re interested in possibly furthering the relationship and you’ve already planted the seed for a future date. (Whether you go out with her again is, of course, up to you.) This is designed to set her mind at ease about hooking up with you.

Finally, as we teach in the “Closing the Deal” chapter of the Mack Tactics book, you’ve got to man up and take this date as far as the situation will allow. If the vibe is right, and the romantic connection is building, suggest going back to your place.

You need to give her a “cloaking motive”: a reason why you are bringing her there. It could be a CD from an artist that you both like, and you want to play it for her. It might a DVD or a video on your computer that you mentioned earlier. Maybe it’s some pictures you want to show her from a recent trip you went on. It might be something new you bought for your home that you want her opinion on. The motive needs to refer to something you talked about earlier and she expressed interest in.

Plant the seed early in the conversation, so that when you suggest your cloaking motive later on, it feels natural: “I know you’re a huge Coldplay fan and I downloaded some of their new songs, you’ve got to hear them. Let’s go to my place and watch it, I’ve also got some excellent wine I think you’ll enjoy.”

This isn’t mean to trick her; you’re both consenting adults, and when the date moves back to your place, she knows the deal. But women are highly sensitive about being perceived as “easy.” You need to provide this REASON so that she feels comfortable going along with it… so that she can then get cozy with you.

I recently decided to finally break up with my (now ex) girlfriend. She’d been controlling and manipulating me for the past four years. Anyway, I’m back on the dating scene now and excited about the possibilities.

I met a REALLY smoking hot girl at my gym and asked her out. But I’ll admit, I’m rusty with the “first date” stuff, I’ve been off the scene for a long time. And I want to make sure this date is perfect — with a girl this hot, I won’t get a second chance if I don’t make the right impression. Do you have any first date advice that will help me close the deal?

* * * * * In order to pull off the ultimate first date, create a deep attraction, and hopefully steer things back to your place, you’re going to have to use the right methods and conversation strategies. These are explained in detail in our book, The Alpha Rules.

But for starters, here is some first date advice to always remember:

* Keep your spending to a minimum. With first dates, never try to impress her by shelling out the bucks. This puts you in the wrong position. Maintain the attitude that this is her chance to sell herself to YOU, not the other way around. Meet her for coffee (not at a Starbucks — find a cool, out-of-the-way, comfortable coffee shop for dates). Or, meet her for drinks. Skip the places that everyone knows, and find “date locations” that will show her you’re an original type of guy who knows the cool “off the radar” spots.

BONUS TIP: Make her feel extra special by saying to her, “This is one of my favorite places. I think of it as my private sanctuary, I never bring anyone here. But I thought you’d enjoy it so I wanted to show it to you.”

* Have a backup plan. The place you’ve selected could be closed for renovations, her ex-boyfriend might work there, who knows. Have a second location ready to take her to at a moment’s notice. The Alpha Man is a man of action, and always has a complete plan.

* Plan on keeping the date brief. For a first meeting, 1-2 hours is usually perfect. You want an escape hatch in case she doesn’t meet your standards. (Never plan some all-day activity with a girl until you’re certain you want to spend that much time with her.)

Also, unless you’re confident that you can take her home at the end of the night, it’s better to cut things short and create the sense that your time is precious and limited. You should be the one to decide when the date ends. (“Well I’ve got a huge day tomorrow, I need to be up bright and early…we’ll have to do this again soon.”) Don’t stretch things out so that she’s the one checking her watch and telling you she needs to get home.

End the date on a high point, before things start winding down, and plan on sealing the deal the next time you see her. As the greatest entertainers in showbiz know, you’ve always got to “leave ‘em wanting more.”

* Always be punctual. Forget about being “fashionably late”: it’s disrespectful and sets a bad tone. Make sure you know the directions to the location, and arrive 10 minutes early so that you’re totally prepared.

* Dress appropriately. It’s always better to be a little overdressed than underdressed. You can be sure she’s going to dress well for the date. She’ll feel uncomfortable if you roll in wearing a tee-shirt and shorts.

* Let her do most of the talking. Ask questions that prompt her to open up and share with you. Again, maintain the attitude that this is her chance to impress YOU. It’s better to be vague and cultivate a sense of mystery around yourself, than to tell her your life story within the first two hours.

Keep the spotlight on her. The more details she shares with you, and the more you seem to appreciate what she’s saying, the more it feels to her like a connection is building. This elevates you beyond the average guy, who treats every first date as if he’s auditioning for the position of her boyfriend, and feels he needs to “sell himself” by talking himself up.

OK, so you are arranging to take a girl out on a date.

Tell her to MEET YOU outside your place, so that you can ride in your car together
and bring her to the date location. (Bar, restaurant, coffee shop, whatever.)

Women ALWAYS agree to this. Because A), they are curious about where you live. They are nosy! They want to check out the exterior of your home/apartment/condo.

And B), they feel more comfortable riding in your car with you, especially if the date location is a place they are not familiar with.

OK, now here is how to use this Tactic –

When her car pulls up to your place, go outside — like you’re ready to go on the date — and then tell her you forgot to do something. You need to go back inside and send an email or make a phone call:

“Hey! How are you…oh my God, I just remembered, I need to send an email (or make a phone call) before we go. Come inside for a minute.”

She will agree to this. Naturally, she is curious to see the INTERIOR of where you live.

So, bring her inside …

Give her a glass of wine, or some water, and then you go into the other room and pretend to handle your phone call or email.

The idea is this: you are letting her GET FAMILIAR with your place. This will no longer be an “unknown environment” to her.

While you spend 5 or 10 minutes in the other room, you are leaving her alone to CHECK OUT your pad.

This means you MUST have a clean place. Your bathroom must be absolutely spotless, because she will probably want to use it. (Scented candles and very plush bath towels will make the right impression on her.) So, after 5 or 10 minutes, you finish up your “business” and you come back into the living room and rejoin her. Now the two of you get in your car and go on your date.

What you just did with her is HUGE.

Because, at the end of the date, when you suggest going back to your place — to have a glass of wine, watch a movie, or whatever other Tactic you use — she ALREADY KNOWS your environment.

This is so important! Women fear the unknown. They think,

“What if his place is filthy?”

“What if he has some weirdo roommate?”

Or worst of all, they think –

“What if he has a live-in girlfriend, or a WIFE, who’s going to show up and make some huge drama…”

Yes, girls actually THINK about these scenarios when you invite them home!! But by using the Tactic I explained above, you will put ALL of their concerns at ease.

They already KNOW that your home is a cool place to go back to, and chill out.

They already know what your place is like. It’s clean, comfortable, and you’re not going to try to jump on top of her the moment she comes in the door. She has observed you in your environment. You are a gentleman and a busy guy who has things to attend to.
