Other things I didnt like: How rock played whenever he watched porn (trying to make a correlation between the two utterly unrelated subjects). How the men were portrayed as incoherently dumb people that the women had to impart their judgment over (the dad thought that porn was okay and the mom ALWAYS disagreed with him). The fact that Jeremy only started staring at girls boobs after his first encounter with porn (not the case either; I bet all guys stare at girls boobs when in high school).
Im willing to bet that of where/who adolescents first watch porn from, a large percentage of that would be from family members. If it focused more on that, parents would probably be better off providing a better environment for their children in the first place. The makers of the film, while not saying it flat out, implied that most people who watch porn instantly become addicted to it. This usually isnt the case, unless you have the genetic predisposition for addiction, which isnt in everyone
First off, this movie is an awful depiction of porn addiction. I do admit it may be teaching morals to kids but the way they go about doing so is pathetic. The movie just had to show a worse case scenario, with a seemingly innocent swimmer becoming ensnared by the evils of porn, instead of actually providing information on the subject. The film was based more on the concept of making parents fear porn, which in no way helps them understand how addiction works.
