5 Reasons Women Can?t Say No to Alpha Males

Women may say they just want a sensitive man who listens to them and cares about their feelings, but their actions speak louder than words in the mating game. When women are drawn to men, those guys who receive the attention are almost always going to be alpha males.
Even if you’re not familiar with the term, you’ve undoubtedly encountered one of these specimens of masculinity in the locker rooms of the world. They are the guys you would describe as egotistical jerks that treat women like garbage but who never seem to be lonely. If you’ve ever wondered why that is, here are a few reasons women find them irresistible.
Reason #1: An Abundance of Testosterone
One of the most basic reasons women love alpha males is evolution. For our ancestors, the main goals were staying alive and reproduce offspring. Women wanted babies, and women also could sense that the manliest of the males were going to be the best at producing the largest number of healthy babies. Of course, what makes men look manly (and often act like jerks) is testosterone. Even though our female ancestors couldn’t measure these sex hormones in a lab, they had other ways of picking up the signs, especially when they were ovulating.
Reason #2: Confidence
While you might not be able to do much about your testosterone levels, apart from injecting yourself with steroids (an ill-advised course of action), you can make yourself more confident. Think in terms of early couples. Women had to choose men who could protect them and their families from all of the dangers surrounding them. Men who weren’t confident usually weren’t able to do a very good job in this arena. On the other hand, men who knew their strength and took pride in their accomplishments would have stood out as ideal choices for mates. The same is true today.
Reason #3: The Desirable Factor
Alpha males seem to have their pick of attractive women partially because so many attractive women want them. While that may seem like circular reasoning, it’s true. Women trust other women to be drawn to the best the male species has to offer so when one man seems to be getting a lot of attention then he seems like a desirable option.
Reason #4: Entertaining
Let’s be honest, alpha males can be pretty entertaining. They love being the center of attention so they take every opportunity to shine. Women love this! When all of the attention is on him, some of the attention is also going to be on her. After all, she’s the person he’s dating.
Reason #5: The Challenge
Just because women say they want sensitive men but tend to be attracted to the most insensitive men they can find doesn’t mean they are lying to themselves or to other guys. In fact, most women assume their love can change that alpha male into that super sensitive guy. While it doesn’t usually work that way, sometimes family life does tone down the alpha side of men. As long as that possibility exists, women are going to swoon for those egotistical jerks known as alpha males.
Although alpha males are not necessarily nice guys, they definitely do have a lot of appeal with the ladies. If you want to increase your chances of success with the opposite sex, you may need to follow their lead.
